Apply Procedure

Two methods are available for applying for a Domicile Certificate: Offline and Online.

Online Method

Step 1: Log in to the website

Logging on to the official website is required for all applicants.

Step 2: Register the certificate

Click on the Register option to register for the certificate.

Step 3: Verification Code

Upon successful registration, applicants will be provided with a verification code for the mobile number.

Step 4: Enter the verification code

This code must be entered into the portal by the applicant. Click on the verify button.

Step 5: Fill in the details

The application form opens.

Step 6: Submit your form

Once all details have been entered, applicants must submit the application form.

Offline Method

Two ways can you apply offline for a Domicile Certificate

Step 1: Contact the CSC Center

The applicant must approach the Common Service Centres.

Step 2: Accepting the application

The concerned officer must give the applicant the application form.

Step 3: Fill in the details

All required information must be filled out by the applicant in the application form.

Step 4: Submit your form

After entering all information, the applicant must submit the application form to concerned officer.

Step 1: Contact the Municipality

The applicant must approach the Tahasildar, Municipality or District Magistrate Office.

Step 2: Get the application form

The concerned officer must give the applicant the application form.

Step 4: Submit your form

After all details have been entered, the applicant must submit the form with two passport-sized photographs.

Step 5: Submit the verification letter

  • Member of Parliament (MP).

  • Chairman, Zila Panchayat

Step 6: Submit the Documents

Attested copies of school and identity certificates must be submitted by the applicant.

Step 7: Tahasildar Report

If required, the applicant must also request a Tahasildar inquiry report.

Fee Structure

The certificate of domicile is free.

Issue the Certificate

The certificate will be issued in one month if all details given by the applicant are correct. The certificate is valid for life once issued.
