To recruit for different positions in government offices and departments of Madhya Pradesh, the State Service Exam is used. The exam is split into two parts: the preliminary and main. Candidates who have passed the IAS exam are eligible to take the main exam. The number of applicants allowed to take the main exam exceeds the number of vacancies. Candidates who have passed the main exam and subsequent procedures are eligible to apply for government positions.
