CV Full Form – Composite Video, Component video
Video technology is another popular topic for CV. CV stands for Composite Video or Component Video.
Composite Video, also known as SD Video, is an analogue signal format that carries standard-definition videos as one channel.
Composite video is more bandwidth-efficient and requires fewer connections ports, as it combines colour information with brightness information to create one analogue video transmission.
Component Video, on the other hand, is considered to improve signal quality as it separates motion image information into basic elements and sends them separately.
Composite video cables do not support HD content and progressive scan images. This is because the signal is sent through one wire. The signal must be compressed too much to make the signal stronger, which can cause the resolution and quality of the video to drop.
For component video, you only need 3-wire, green and blue to send video signals.
The green cable transmits brightness information, while the red and blue cables transmit the picture components. The green component is transmitted across all three wires.

How can you distinguish the Component Video and Composite cable?
